If you’ve kept your eye out this year, you might’ve seen Brandon Taylor, or BT as his coworkers call him, parked in your neighborhood in the Greenpoint Knife Bus.

Inside the bus, Brandon has both whetstone sharpening equipment and a belt sharpening machine, which he uses to get a set of knives razor sharp in just a few hours.
The Knife bus doesn’t compete with huge companies like The Cozzini Bros, where you can ship a knife set out to them and they’ll send you a different set in return.
Sure, Brandon services a few Michelin star restaurants and professional chefs from higher-end establishments around New York, but their same-day service creates a much more intimate relationship with their clientele. Most of their clients are at-home chefs– people who have a passion for cooking just out of their own home.
