Caitlin Stewart is a scientist who does DNA sequencing for diagnostics research in the field of oncology. The 37-year-old has been a scuba diver since she was 15 and has adopted mermaiding as a hobby in the last two years.
With her mermother, Norma Cookie DeJesus, the Harlem mermaid, she has ties with the New York mermaid and mermen community and hopes to do this professionally some time in the future.
